Senior Backend Engineer

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs. You will optimize databases, build asynchronous workflows, monitor and troubleshoot production systems, contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure practices, document APIs, review code, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Participate in architecture and design discussions
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Optimize database schemas and queries
• Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using message brokers
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
• Perform code reviews and mentor Middle and Junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver features
• Maintain API and technical documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience
• Strong Go proficiency
• Understanding of PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with Redis or similar caching solutions
• Experience designing REST APIs and documenting them with OpenAPI or Swagger
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar message brokers
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes basics
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Understanding of application security fundamentals
• Good written and spoken English
