Why We Need This Position

We are experiencing continued growth across the maritime, energy, and industrial gas sectors. The increasing adoption of LNG, LPG, LBG (Liquefied Biogas), and other sustainable energy solutions is driving demand for highly skilled technical experts capable of supporting our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their assets.

To ensure successful project execution, maintain our strong position in the Nordic and global markets, and support our customers' decarbonisation ambitions, we are expanding our Service Delivery organization with additional Commissioning Engineers.

This role is critical in ensuring safe and efficient startup, commissioning, optimization, and lifecycle support of our gas handling and processing systems across the world.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to strengthen our global service and Swedish commissioning team.

In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, optimization, and technical support of our Solutions systems at customer sites in the Nordics and Europe.

You will work closely with project teams, Biogas Sites, shipyards, vessel operators, EPC contractors, and end customers, ensuring successful delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning & Startup

  • Lead and execute commissioning activities for our systems and equipment.
  • Verify installation quality and system readiness prior to startup.
  • Perform functional testing, loop checks, performance testing, and system validation.
  • Support mechanical completion and handover processes.
  • Ensure successful customer acceptance and project close-out.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, process, automation, and electrical issues.
  • Provide expert technical support during warranty and lifecycle service assignments.
  • Optimize system performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Support customers in achieving reliable, safe, and efficient operations.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as a technical representative on customer sites.
  • Build strong professional relationships with customers, shipyards, and project stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical training and operational guidance to customer personnel.
  • Contribute to high customer satisfaction and long-term service partnerships.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with our QHSE requirements.
  • Actively promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with Nordic industry standards.
  • Identify risks and implement preventive actions.
  • Report and support investigations related to incidents, near misses, and non-conformities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to product development through field feedback and operational insights.
  • Support lessons learned activities across projects and service operations.
  • Participate in developing commissioning methods, standards, and best practices.
  • Share technical knowledge across the global service organization.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

  • Experience with commissioning, startup, service, or operations of industrial process systems.
  • Experience from maritime, offshore, renewable energy, oil & gas, or process industries.
  • Practical experience with LNG, LPG, LBG/biogas, cryogenic systems, fuel gas systems, compressors, pumps, valves, or process equipment is highly valued.
  • Experience working at shipyards, offshore installations, industrial plants, or customer facilities is considered an advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, process descriptions, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of process automation and PLC-based control systems.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, process control, and system integration.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
