Arbetsbeskrivning

Board Intelligence is a technology and advisory firm on a mission to make boards more effective, and through them, build better businesses and benefit society.

Over twenty years we have established ourselves as the market leader in governance and board effectiveness, trusted by more than 80,000 directors, executives, and governance professionals globally, including across the Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and OMX 30. That trust has been earned through depth of insight, rigorous advisory work, and a track record that newer entrants simply cannot replicate.

We have invested in applied AI since 2020, well ahead of the market, and that early conviction has paid off. Our AI-powered platform and smart board advisor give us a competitive advantage that is widening, not narrowing. In 2024, K1 Investment Management, the leading B2B Enterprise SaaS investor, backed us to accelerate that position further. We are now growing fast, with a proven commercial model spanning both mid-market and enterprise, and a product suite that has become a necessary addition in high-stakes board environments.

The people joining us now will shape how we scale. We are deliberate about how we do that. Our founders and leadership team are deeply invested in keeping the culture that got us here: thoughtful, high calibre, and genuinely human. Ambition and balance are not in competition at Board Intelligence.

If you want to work at the intersection of AI and governance, on problems that matter at the highest level, this is a strong place to be.

Our MissionWe unleash the potential of organisations through the science of board effectiveness, building better businesses and benefitting society.

The Role

TeamEngine, part of the Board Intelligence group, is a SaaS platform for board work and secure collaboration. Boards, management teams and organisations use it to run meetings, agendas, board packs, minutes, BankID e-signing, insider lists and secure document sharing in dedicated portals.

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer, ideally recently graduated, to join our development team in Stockholm. The work is genuinely varied: one day you build a new React view, the next you extend a Java service, build an integration or troubleshoot an issue in production. Part of the platform runs on a legacy stack that we are actively migrating to modern technology, and you will get to take part in that journey and learn both older and modern technology along the way. You will work closely with experienced developers who will support you as you grow, and you will get real responsibility and influence over how the platform evolves.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features across the full stack, from React front ends to Java Spring services and the core platform
  • Take part in migrating legacy parts of the platform to modern architecture and technology
  • Build and maintain integrations, for example e-signing, authentication and document services
  • Develop and improve our AI features, such as AI assistants working securely with board documents
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve issues together with the team, and learn how we keep the platform stable
  • Take part in code reviews and write automated tests, with our CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
  • Work closely with product, support and customers to understand needs and deliver solutions
  • Uphold high standards for security and data protection in everything we build

Person Specification

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A recent degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A good foundation in programming, for example from university projects, a thesis, internships or your own projects.
  • Some experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, and an interest in front end development with React.
  • Some experience with Java or another object-oriented language, and an interest in backend development.
  • A basic understanding of how the web works: HTTP, APIs, HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with Git.
  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn and enjoyment of solving problems.
  • Good communication skills in English; Swedish is an advantage.

Nice to haves:

  • Internship or professional experience as a developer
  • Hands-on experience with React and with Java SpringExperience with CI/CD, Docker or Linux
  • Experience working in an existing codebase, including legacy code
  • Interest in or experience with AI and LLM-based features
  • Familiarity with integrations such as BankID, SSO/OpenID Connect or document processing
  • An interest in security and data protection

What good looks like in this role:

  • You quickly get up to speed with our codebase and tools, and start delivering features with growing independence
  • You are curious and willing to work across front end, back end and infrastructure as the work requires
  • You leave the code better than you found it and help move the platform towards modern technology
  • You ask questions, learn from feedback and gradually take ownership of features from idea to production
  • You care about quality and security, and help the team by sharing what you learn
