Scania Credit Group (SCA), one of the captive Scania Financial Services entities, offers financing and insurance in the Middle East, Central Asia, and West Africa. SCA has become a leader in factoring solutions for non-captive dealers and body-builders, supporting Scania's goal to reduce CCC and offload its balance sheet. We have partnered with external credit insurers to mitigate commercial and political risks in certain transactions. SCA is expanding into new markets, particularly in the AMC region.

Based in Södertälje, the SCA Head Office and Market Support Centre provides governance, strategic development, credit risk management, contract administration, and IT support. With 50 employees, including 30 in Södertälje, we manage around 370 MEUR of assets across 10+ markets.

Role Summary

Scania Credit AB (SCA) is continuing its growth journey across both established and emerging markets and is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join its Commercial Team.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving business development initiatives, supporting market expansion, and developing financing solutions that contribute to Scania Credit's long-term growth. Working in a highly international environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Scania Credit, regional markets, and other TRATON Business Units.

You will build strong relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable insights, driving strategic projects, and supporting the development of new business opportunities.

As part of the Commercial Team, you will report to the Commercial Director and contribute to shaping the future strategic direction and development of Scania Credit. The position includes regular travel to existing and prospective markets.

Job Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and developing financing opportunities in markets where Financial Services are not currently present. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will evaluate business opportunities, develop financing structures, and support the continued growth of Scania Credit's business.

Business Development

  • Identify and support financing opportunities in new markets and regions
  • Develop and enhance financing products and concepts
  • Act as the primary contact for complex and/or SPOT financing requests from Scania Commercial and other TRATON Business Units
  • Lead and support strategic projects, including market establishment initiatives
  • Drive business development initiatives across established and emerging markets

Business Analysis

  • Conduct portfolio, sales, and market analyses
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to support decision-making

Legal & Regulatory Support

  • Lead legal and tax-related investigations in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with legal partners
  • Support the implementation of new products, market initiatives, and change projects
  • Manage approval processes and governance-related activities

Your Background:

  • University degree in a relevant field, preferably Business, Finance, or Economics
  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience
  • Extensive project management experience
  • Knowledge of financing solutions and the TRATON Financial Services offering
  • Established network within Scania and MAN, particularly within Financial Services and sales organisations
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience within Financial Services
  • Experience working with structured financing
  • Experience in business development
