Software Developer - C++/AI

Our client is creating the next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around

the world. Their Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team delivers actionable insights that help

game teams optimize software performance and elevate gameplay.

The team is an integral part of the company, focused on delivering

high-quality gaming experiences. As a Software Developer within the QVS team, you will work with a distributed global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AI bot systems for automated multiplayer playtesting.

• Develop bot behavior systems including movement, combat, interaction, and coordination.

• Collaborate with designers and QA engineers to translate gameplay scenarios into testable bot

behaviors.

• Build telemetry pipelines for analysis, regression testing, and behavior validation.

• Investigate bot failures such as pathfinding, network desynchronization, and gameplay interaction

issues.

• Modernize architecture and improve maintainability.

• Participate in exploratory machine-learning-driven bot behavior research.

• Review code and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.

• Strong C++ proficiency.

• Experience with AI behavior systems such as finite state machines or behavior trees.

• Experience with automated testing infrastructure is a significant plus.

• Proven ability to improve maintainability in complex codebases.

• Familiarity with gaming engines such as Unreal, Frostbite or Unity is an asset.

• Exposure to reinforcement learning concepts is a bonus.

Start: ASAP to 1 month.

Length: 1 year contract.

Workplace: Stockholm or hybrid setup with some visits to the office works as well.
