Application Developer (Min 4 years experience)

Salary: $6,000 – $9,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the ETRS application using Django Python.
• Build secure and scalable REST APIs and backend services, following best practices related to software engineering standards, testing, controls, and release management.
• Implement complex business logic, including computing risk metrics, generating dashboards, managing workflows, and performing data quality checks.
• Develop and maintain responsive UI components using HTML and CSS.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and UX teams to deliver intuitive user interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize application performance.
• Participate in Agile development teams, understand user requirements, and contribute to product evolution.
• Implement and maintain software quality metrics, including clean coding practices, code coverage, system performance, and system security.
• Support code migration through standard CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release management activities.
• Provide Level 3 (L3) support to Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) production support teams.
• Attend to production issues and resolve them within defined SLA requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with the Django Python framework.
• Proven experience with MariaDB/MySQL in high-transaction systems.
• Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience building secure REST APIs.
• Experience working in Linux environments and using Git version control.
• Familiarity with NGINX and Apache web servers.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Java, Angular, React, and Cloud Computing platforms.
• Awareness of security practices including encryption, authentication, and fraud prevention.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–10+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience working on banking or financial systems.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail, particularly with respect to data accuracy and completeness.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, output-driven environment.
