Job Scope

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at GYG, you’ll play a key role in running the restaurant efficiently, leading the team through service and keeping our food, service and safety standards on point.

You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager while taking ownership of the shift, especially when things get busy. From keeping service running smoothly to managing stock, costs and team performance, you’ll be hands-on across the restaurant.

You’ll be involved in:

• Leading and managing the team during shifts
• Supporting the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations
• Ensuring all food is prepared and served according to GYG recipes and standards
• Keeping speed of service and customer service standards on track
• Maintaining food quality, food safety, cleanliness and restaurant standards
• Managing stock, wastage and restaurant needs during the shift
• Monitoring sales and operating performance
• Managing labour, COGS and operating costs against targets
• Handling customer feedback and resolving service issues
• Supporting crew training and development
• Taking charge of the restaurant in the Restaurant Manager’s absence

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with the energy, maturity and leadership mindset to step up and make an impact.

You’ll need:

• Experience leading a team in a busy, high-volume hospitality or F&B environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A hands-on and proactive approach to restaurant operations
• The ability to stay calm and make decisions during busy service period
• Good understanding of food safety, quality and service standards
• Experience with stock, wastage or cost control is an advantage
• A genuine interest in developing people and growing your career in F&B
