Data Manager
Job description
This is a Delivery + Client Relationship + Business Development role. A hands-on Manager who will lead Data & AI engagements, own senior client relationships, and help originate new business, with a particular focus on Japan or India (experience in one of the two is sufficient).
What You Will Do:
- Lead hands-on delivery across Japan, India & APAC - data pipelines, dashboards, predictive models, GenAI & agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.
- Deliver across AI readiness, responsible AI governance, use-case implementation, data engineering, and AI-enabled managed services.
- Identify, qualify and shape new opportunities with CFOs, CTOs, and senior business leaders.
- Co-lead pursuits and proposals with senior leadership - shaping problem, solution, and commercial case.
- Own day-to-day client relationships, translating business problems into practical technical solutions.
- Turn successful delivery into sustained, expandable accounts.
- Mentor junior professionals and embed responsible AI and data governance by design.
Must Have:
- 5+ years in Data & AI - data engineering, data science, analytics, AI/ML, BI, or related consulting.
- Proven client-facing delivery from design through adoption.
- Demonstrated working experience with clients in Japan OR India - understanding local business environment and stakeholder culture.
What Sets You Apart:
- Hands-on expert in at least one core pillar - AI Engineering, Data Platform, or Advanced Analytics - with breadth to lead others.
- GenAI / Agentic AI: multi-agent systems, RAG, vector search, LLM evaluation (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama etc.), frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex etc.).
- Cloud & Data: Azure / AWS / GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Python, SQL.
- Commercial track record: originating leads, shaping scope, expanding accounts, and senior relationships (CFO/CTO/CIO/CDO).
