Electrical Design Engineer (Low Voltage - LV Switchboards)

• Basic: $ 4500 to $ 5500 + AWS + Variable Bonus

Responsibilities

• Design Low Voltage (LV) switchboards, Motor Control Centres (MCC), control panels, and electrical consoles according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
• Review project specifications, electrical drawings, and customer requirements to ensure accurate design and compliance.
• Prepare material requisition lists and Bills of Materials (BOM) for production.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal departments on technical clarifications and design requirements.
• Work closely with the Production team to ensure smooth fabrication and resolve design-related issues.
• Support the Sales team by providing technical information and design solutions during project discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with company quality standards and relevant electrical codes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical design of LV switchboards, switchgear, MCC, control panels, or power distribution systems.
• Experience in a switchboard manufacturer, panel builder, or electrical equipment manufacturing environment will be highly preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams (SLD).
