Summary

Senior Consultant or Manager whose main focus is leading or managing projects effectively under the cooperative relationship with clients and other partners and internal project members for our research and strategy consulting projects. You are expected to possess deep knowledge on several industries, capability to design and execute projects and human skills to establish relationship among stakeholders of various kinds of projects. At the same time, you are expected to exercise business development activities through client targeting, approaching potential clients, proposal-making to forming projects, and to a successful closure.

Working Relationships:

This position works closely with Senior Management (Partners) in NRI Singapore. You will also have opportunities to work directly with other project managers, project leaders, or any other working colleagues and third-party partners, members from HQ and SEA offices collaboratively and transparently, while taking your own active initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Project Deliverables:

  • Pro-actively work on current and new management consulting projects related to research, strategy development such as market analysis, go-to-market strategy, feasibility study, competitor’s analysis, etc., on your workstream of the projects.

  • Perform research, analysis and recommendations through available online and offline information and/or expert interviews in accordance with project topics and themes to develop proposals.
  • Arrange to perform research interviews with subject experts in the client or other external parties.
  • Project Lead:

    • Lead building hypothesis/project storyline upon making proposals.
    • Lead research activities when on executing projects.
    • Provides on-the-job training to consultants and analysts where necessary.
    • Reviews results and discusses with project members upon completion of the projects.
    • Others: may act as an interviewer for hiring of interns and/or early careers.

    Business Development:

    • Assesses potential clients in specific target sectors including energy sectors, real estates, food and agriculture, healthcare, manufacturer, retail and wholesalers, private equity, investment banks, etc.
    • Develops discussion materials in relation to target market or industry.
    • Maintains relationships with potential clients.

    How You Stand Out:

    • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
    • Advanced degree such as master’s degree may be advantageous.
    • 3 to 5 years of consulting project experiences in research & strategy with any particular expertise.
    • Experience in hypothesis-based research, Entry Market Strategy, Growth Strategy project themes is highly advantageous.
    • Experiences of project managing in guiding through senior/junior level of consultants will be highly advantageous.
    • Industrial expertise (knowledge depth of specific industry) will be an added advantage.
    • Candidate must be willing to travel for business trips as required that may occur periodically.
