Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. HBM Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead day-to-day HBM Probe manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, output, cycle time, and cost targets.
  • Own HBM operational readiness across engineering builds, NPI, qualifications, pilot production, and HVM ramp.
  • Drive execution of HBM factory priorities and ensure customer and business commitments are achieved.
  • Manage HBM loading, lot movement, WIP health, queue-time performance, and operational constraints.
  • Lead operational escalation management and rapid recovery actions for output, cycle time, quality, and capacity disruptions.

2. HBM Capacity Planning & Ramp Enablement

  • Develop and execute HBM capacity and ramp plans to support business growth, HBM expansion, and future MSH requirements.
  • Own HBM loading forecasts, capacity modeling, workforce planning, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Equipment, Planning, Process, and Supply Chain teams to align capacity with demand.
  • Drive bottleneck elimination and sustainable throughput improvements across HBM operations.
  • Establish contingency plans to mitigate equipment, probe card, staffing, and qualification risks impacting HBM commitments.

3. Cycle Time & Output Excellence

  • Own HBM output performance, cycle time, aged WIP reduction, and shipment readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in lot scheduling, priority lot execution, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce queue time excursions, hold lots, rework, and unnecessary operational touches.
  • Optimize Auto-Auto execution, staging efficiency, lot-start performance, and dispatching effectiveness.
  • Develop business processes and operational governance to achieve predictable cycle time and output performance.

4. HBM Quality, Compliance & Audit Management

  • Own HBM manufacturing quality performance, operational compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Drive systematic reduction of misprocessing risk, excursions, customer escapes, and quality deviations.
  • Ensure robust execution of ESD, material handling, packaging, and product integrity controls.
  • Lead manufacturing-related investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to continuously strengthen process controls and operational discipline.

5. HBM Planning & Operational Strategy

  • Own HBM production planning, operational strategy, and execution governance.
  • Establish HBM operational frameworks that balance engineering demands, qualification requirements, and HVM output.
  • Drive visibility of operational risks through data analytics, forecasting, and planning systems.
  • Develop scalable business processes supporting future HBM expansion and fungibility.
  • Partner with global HBM organizations to establish best-known methods and operational standards.

6. Smart Manufacturing, Automation & AI

  • Champion deployment of AI, automation, and digital manufacturing solutions within HBM operations.
  • Leverage AI, automation, advanced analytics, digital twins, and intelligent scheduling tools to improve performance.
  • Applying AI to Drive productivity improvements by eliminating manual activities and enabling autonomous workflows.
  • Partner with Probe Automation and DAST teams to implement next-generation smart manufacturing capabilities.
  • Using AI and predictive analytics and real-time operational dashboards to proactively manage factory performance.

7. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Equipment, Process, Product, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Automation teams.
  • Lead HBM readiness reviews, ramp governance, operational reviews, and executive updates.
  • Coordinate technology transfers, startup activities, and qualification programs.
  • Align stakeholders on priorities, resource allocation, and recovery actions.
  • Drive collaboration across FE, HBM AT, HIG, and global organizations to ensure successful execution.

8. Team Leadership & Organization Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HBM Manufacturing organization.
  • Coach and mentor planners, manufacturing engineers, shift engineers, and operations personnel.
  • Establish succession plans and capability-building roadmaps aligned with HBM growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop future manufacturing leaders capable of supporting global HBM expansion.

9. Safety, Sustainability & Workforce Engagement

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure safe manufacturing execution.
  • Drive TPM, 6S, ergonomics, ESD, and environmental excellence programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and Micron operational requirements.
  • Drive engagement, retention, recognition, and capability growth for the HBM workforce.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through productivity improvements and waste elimination.

Preferred

Qualifications

  • Deep semiconductor manufacturing expertise in HBM, Probe, Test, or Assembly operations.
  • Strong track record in production planning, capacity management, factory optimization, and manufacturing execution.
  • Advanced data analytics and AI capabilities with hands-on application of digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Experience leading automation, smart factory, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strategic leadership skills with demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder influence, and business transformation.
