Murex Accounting

• 7+ years in capital markets finance or accounting systems, with 4+ years of hands-on Murex Accounting implementation.
• Experience on at least one full Murex implementation or major upgrade through to go-live.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 9 / IFRS 13 and/or US GAAP for financial instruments, including hedge accounting.
• Solid understanding of derivatives and the trade lifecycle across one or more asset classes (FX, rates, credit, equities, commodities, treasury).
• Practical experience with Murex Accounting components: accounting events, rules and schemas, posting, and reconciliation to GL.
• Experience integrating with ERP/GL systems and handling EOD and period-end accounting processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) or equivalent finance background.
• Murex certification in Accounting or Finance modules.
• Experience with Murex Hedge Accounting and IFRS 9 impairment programmes.
• Data migration experience from legacy platforms (Summit, Calypso, Kondor+, in-house).
• SQL knowledge for reconciliation, analysis, and validation.
• Experience with Agile/hybrid delivery.
