Procurement Director

Location: Newton

Employment Type: Yearly renewable contract until 2030

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, Office Hours

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Director to provide strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of procurement categories. This is a senior procurement role focused on driving procurement excellence, strategic sourcing, governance and compliance, while partnering closely with stakeholders to achieve value-for-money outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end procurement operations across multiple categories.
• Drive strategic sourcing, procurement aggregation and category management initiatives to optimise costs and procurement outcomes.
• Provide strategic advice on complex, high-value procurement matters, procurement strategies and risk management.
• Partner with business units on demand planning, sourcing strategies and long-term procurement objectives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with established policies, regulations and governance requirements.
• Oversee procurement documentation, audit trails, contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen procurement capabilities, processes and service delivery.
• Provide leadership and guidance to procurement teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

Requirements

• Singapore Citizen.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in public sector procurement.
• Extensive experience managing end-to-end procurement, including complex and high-value procurements.
• Proven experience leading procurement teams and driving operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of IM (Procurement) and GeBIZ.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide strategic procurement advice in a complex environment.
