Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support to cloud-based application and services.
- Troubleshooting and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues.
- Monitor system health using tools like Splunk, Geneos, New relic and Grafana.
- Maintain 24/7 operational support model to ensure business continuity.
- Update the RUN Book and KEDB as & when required.
- Participation in production change review/documenting, raising appropriate CAB questions and ensuring the deployments of every change have followed the standards and completed successfully.
- Able to understand and debug Oracle procedures, function and triggers
- Follow security protocols and compliance requirements to safeguard data warehouse assets.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of data warehouse processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Guide internal teams on cloud best practices, security, and cost optimization.
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and improve system performance.
Skills Requirement
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Engineering/Computer Science
- 6 - 8 years of experience in Banking sector with Application Developer/Production support background within the Wealth Management industry.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle (EXCC) and SQL server
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data pipeline management.
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modelling.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Google BigQuery) is a plus.
- Unix file systems, commands, shell scripting development and trouble shooting
- Windows systems, batch scripting development and trouble shooting
- Oracle PL/SQL queries development and trouble shooting
- Managing / monitoring Control-M and Tivoli/Geneos monitoring tools.
- Expertise in performance tuning troubleshooting and optimizing cloud resources.
- Strong background in DevOps methodologies, automation, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-availability environment with a focus on operational excellence.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, security, and infrastructure teams.
Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Preferrable
- Knowledge on AI API flows & AI agent, Fundamental of LLM models and Agentic AI.
- Terraform, Jenkins, GITlab CI/CD.
- Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos.
- Kubernetes, Docker, helm
- Programming & Scripting: languages (e.g. Python, UNIX shell and PowerShell, PERL, Python, Github, Spring boot, JAVA/.NET and similar programming languages)
- Operating systems (e.g. UNIX, Windows) and the underlying infrastructure environments
- Middleware (e.g. MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat, Joss, Apache, Kafka and similar), DAP, Dweb, Fabric
- Oracle, MS-SQL, Sybase, No SQL
