Job description
- Lead regional airfreight procurement strategy and activities across South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with airlines, GSAs and other carrier partners.
- Manage regional RFQs, negotiations, contracts, annual rate reviews and carrier procurement exercises.
- Secure competitive rates, capacity commitments and space allocations across key trade lanes.
- Negotiate and manage BSAs, CPAs, long-term agreements, ad hoc rates and other procurement arrangements.
- Monitor market conditions, airline networks, capacity trends and pricing developments to identify procurement opportunities.
- Analyse trade lane supply and demand and recommend appropriate capacity and procurement strategies.
- Develop contingency plans to address peak seasons, market disruptions and urgent capacity requirements.
- Monitor carrier compliance and performance against agreed rates, capacity, service levels and commitments.
- Drive initiatives to improve procurement savings, cost efficiency, margins, yield and carrier utilisation.
- Establish regional procurement standards, governance and consistent practices across countries and business units.
- Develop carrier KPIs and scorecards to measure savings, capacity utilisation, service quality and overall performance.
- Conduct regular reviews with strategic airline partners and drive performance improvement actions.
- Support customer tenders and commercial opportunities by securing competitive and reliable carrier solutions.
- Collaborate with country teams, overseas offices, gateway operations, Finance and Management on procurement planning, budgeting and regional initiatives.
