Sales & Marketing Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager leads business development by researching market opportunities, implementing sales plans, and directing the sales and marketing team to exceed targets through creative initiatives. This role also supports food safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives by analyzing market trends, competitor data, and customer feedback to recommend actionable plans and enhance customer satisfaction
• Forecast annual sales volume, quotas, and profit for existing and new products; prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with Managing Director to establish competitive pricing strategies and selling prices based on market conditions
• Monitor costs, competition, supply, and demand to adjust sales and marketing tactics accordingly
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate merchandising approaches and promotional programs to support sales growth
• Enhance product marketability and profitability by researching and capitalizing on market opportunities, including product packaging and brand marketing ideas for various countries and products
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers through regular visits, understanding their needs, and identifying new business opportunities
• Update job knowledge by networking, attending food fairs, and participating in professional associations
• Serve as a member of the food safety team with functional responsibility for relevant food safety clauses

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and marketing management within the food or manufacturing industry
• 3 to 5 years of experience specifically in the foodstuff or retail industry
