Senior Data Center Manager
Job description
We are looking for a senior AI Compute & Infrastructure leader to build and lead our global AI computing infrastructure strategy across China, Hong Kong, Singapore and overseas markets. This is a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end ownership of AI compute capacity, data center development, GPU procurement, supply chain, and cluster operations — helping shape the infrastructure foundation that powers our next-generation LLM and AI businesses.
I. AI Compute Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the company’s domestic and international AI compute strategy and infrastructure roadmap,
- Key Deliverables: Ensure sufficient compute capacity to meet peak business demand while continuously reducing the unit cost of compute.
II. Data Center Development & Infrastructure
- Lead IDC site selection, negotiation, construction, and delivery, covering power capacity, energy efficiency/PUE, network bandwidth, geopolitical and regulatory considerations, and other critical factors.
- Coordinate the development and deployment of data center nodes across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore, and other overseas markets.
- Key Deliverables: Ensure all data center nodes are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with target PUE and availability standards, with no material delays or cost overruns.
III. Supply Chain & Procurement
- Lead the procurement of GPU servers (including NVIDIA and domestic AI compute solutions), networking equipment, and related software and infrastructure.
- Manage supplier negotiations, supply chain relationships, delivery schedules, and procurement costs.
- Key Deliverables: Ensure critical equipment is delivered on time and achieve procurement costs that are competitive with or below prevailing market levels.
IV. Operations & Compute Scheduling
- Establish and manage a comprehensive AI compute cluster operations and maintenance (O&M) system, compute scheduling platform, and incident/emergency response mechanisms.
- Ensure the stability, availability, and SLA performance of the company’s compute infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in data centers, cloud computing, AI compute infrastructure, or related fields.
- Core Expertise:
- Strong expertise in Singapore and SEA IDC site selection, data center construction, and infrastructure operations. China experience will be a plus point
- Extensive experience in GPU server procurement, supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of AI compute scheduling, GPU training/inference clusters, and compute leasing/business models.
- Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with export controls, cross-border data compliance, international regulatory requirements, and policies governing power and energy resource allocation.
