Senior IT Manager

Astignes Capital is an Asia-focused alternative investment management firm based in Singapore. Our investment strategy aims to capture macro and relative value opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region primarily through the use of interest rates, FX and volatility instruments. The firm launched its flagship Asia Rates fund in 2007.
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager to lead and oversee the firm's technology infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, end-user computing, and IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy, managing technology vendors and service providers, ensuring operational resilience, and supporting the firm's business objectives through secure ,reliable, and scalable technology solutions.
The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution while managing internal stakeholders and external technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the firm's IT roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead technology initiatives including cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancements, and automation projects.
- Provide technology recommendations to senior management regarding investments, risks, and priorities.
- Establish and maintain IT governance, policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Citrix, virtualization, networking, and endpoint environments.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security of all production systems.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
- Oversee capacity planning, asset lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Ensure IT documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and inventories remain current.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including MFA, endpoint security, vulnerability management, patch management, and security monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and investor due diligence expectations.
- Coordinate security assessments, penetration testing, audits, and remediation activities.
- Manage incident response processes and oversee investigations of security events.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, cloud providers, and market data vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, manage service delivery, and monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels.
- Coordinate technology projects and operational activities with external partners and service providers.
- Act as the primary technology liaison with ECI, ensuring effective coordination of infrastructure operations, support activities, project delivery, cybersecurity initiatives, and escalation management.
ProjectManagement & Business Support
- Lead infrastructure, security, cloud, and operational technology projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Portfolio Management teams.
- Manage project budgets, resource planning, timelines, and project reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor internal IT staff and external support resources.
- Establish performance objectives, development plans, and operational responsibilities.
- Foster a service-oriented culture focused on responsiveness, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of relevant IT infrastructure and systems administration experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Citrix CVAD and/or NetScaler, Windows and Linux environments, VMware virtualization (preferably Proxmox) Enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms, Networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing concepts
- Experience managing cybersecurity programs and IT audits.
- Experience managing external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104 / AZ-305, MS-102, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, VCP-DCV, ITIL Foundation or higher
- Experience within financial services, hedge funds, asset management, or trading environments.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, market data platforms, trading applications, and regulatory technology requirements.
- Experience leading cloud migration, cybersecurity, or digital transformation initiatives.
