About the role
The Senior Marketing Assistant/Executive, Blood Donor Programme works in partnership with the Health Sciences Authority's Blood Services Group to educate, recruit, retain, and recognise blood donors. As the national recruiter for the National Blood Programme, this role plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and sustainable blood supply for Singapore.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners, agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders to plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns across social media, influencer collaborations, email marketing and digital advertising.
- Support the management of HeyBloodBuddy’s social media platforms, including responding to enquiries and engaging the online community in conversations about blood donation.
- Support the coordination and execution of marketing events, outreach activities and campaign activations.
- Conceptualise and create content tailored to target audiences, including youth and young adults, across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Telegram. This includes short-form videos and content responding to relevant trends.
- Coordinate with agencies to ensure consistent, high-quality and timely delivery of design assets and campaign materials.
- Support the procurement and production of branded merchandise and marketing materials.
- Write, edit and proofread marketing materials, website content, presentation slides and email campaigns.
- Research audience preferences and youth engagement trends, and propose ideas to improve campaign relevance and reach.
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to provide marketing support and contribute ideas for campaigns and outreach activities.
- Track campaign performance, consolidate results and stakeholder feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Support marketing operations, including purchase orders, inventory management, delivery coordination and budget tracking.
About you
- A diploma or degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating the skills required for the role.
- Relevant experience in marketing communications, content creation or event coordination is preferred. Experience gained through employment, internships, freelance assignments, volunteering or relevant projects will be considered.
- Strong written and spoken English to prepare and proofread English-language marketing content and communicate effectively with partners, donors and internal stakeholders.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in digital marketing, content creation and emerging audience trends.
- Ability to develop content for different audiences, including youth and young adults.
- Familiarity with content creation or photo and video editing tools, such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Lightroom, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of social media marketing and email marketing. Familiarity with search engine optimisation, social media analytics or digital advertising tools is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and manage assigned tasks independently.
- Ability to propose creative ideas, take initiative and follow through on responsibilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to organise tasks, coordinate multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.
