VP, Risk Manager – Financial Institutions / NBFIs

StriveX is partnering with a Regional Bank who is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join their Financial Institutions / Non-Bank Financial Institutions credit risk team. The role will be responsible for assessing and monitoring credit risk exposures across Asia-Pacific, while partnering closely with Sales and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess and manage credit risk across a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
2. Prepare and independently manage credit applications and ratings, including submissions to senior credit decision-making committees.
3. Conduct detailed financial, balance sheet and banking-system analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of financial institution counterparties.
4. Monitor existing exposures and covered institutions, identifying emerging credit risks and changes in the operating environment.
5. Partner closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to support client activity, credit decisions and business initiatives.
6. Contribute to new business and product initiatives, providing risk perspectives and practical credit solutions across the financial institutions business.

Key Requirements

1. 8-10 years of experience in Financial Institutions credit risk, preferably covering banks and/or non-bank financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
2. Strong expertise in credit and balance-sheet analysis of banks and NBFIs, together with an understanding of banking systems.
3. Demonstrated experience in credit assessment, rating and preparation of credit applications.
4. Strong analytical, structured and strategic thinking, with sound judgement and independent decision-making ability.
5. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales and internal stakeholders in an international environment.
