Account Executive

About the Role

Join an early-stage HR technology and AI startup as its first Account Executive. You will own the full sales cycle and work closely with the founders to build the sales approach and help drive revenue.

What You'll Do

• Manage sales from prospecting and discovery through demonstrations, negotiation, and close.
• Research target accounts, run outbound campaigns, and build pipeline independently.
• Navigate sales cycles with HR leaders, finance executives, and IT procurement teams.
• Partner with founders to refine the ideal customer profile, test messaging, and develop a foundational sales playbook.
• Share customer needs and feedback with Product and Engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Experience in HR technology sales, including closing enterprise deals.
• Experience in a startup or small business, or a track record of building new processes in an environment without established infrastructure.
• Evidence of a hunter and closer mindset through sales employment, internships, campus sales roles, SDR work, or self-directed outreach.
• Ability to generate leads and build pipeline through outbound sales.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with comfort working autonomously in a fast-changing environment.
• Interest or experience in HR, finance, or AI is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $65,000 to $75,000, with target on-target earnings of $140,000 and a 50/50 base and commission split. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
