JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary

Provides subject matter expertise and leadership for Molina Medicare sales activities. Responsible for managing the organization’s relationship with clients of strategic importance. Activities include protecting existing revenue streams by ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, identifying new revenue opportunities, cross-selling existing Medicare products and introducing new Medicare products to new or existing partners, and monitoring market and economic conditions that may affect designated partner operations and selling decisions. Adheres to ethical sales, marketing, and enrollment practices, compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Duties

• Serves as the subject matter expert for Medicare product knowledge and shares knowledge with new and existing Molina contracted field marketing organizations (FMOs).

  • Maintains mastery of the Medicare marketplace for a designated region, and leverages deep understanding of health care provider networks and customer data to increase membership.
  • Strategically utilizes understanding of market trends to strengthen Molina’s value propositions in key FMO selling markets, and seeks to link and align market insights to potential customer priorities.
  • Manages and develops new and existing relationships with Molina's national distribution partners in support of the Medicare product portfolio.
  • Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization.
  • Develops ongoing member enrollment strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Develops strategic partnerships to continuously improve business relationships with customers to optimize the growth potential in each account.
  • Collaborates with sales executives/market sales leaders to maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Provides broker sales and service support for a designated Molina region.
  • Travels locally (60%) within assigned sales territories.
  • May provide training, mentoring and support to new and existing Medicare sales team members.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, and/or other health insurance-related sales, including at least 2 years of Medicare-specific sales experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

  • Active and unrestricted Life & Health insurance license within 3 months of hire.
  • Must have reliable transportation for travel throughout assigned sales territory.
  • Strategic planning experience, and experience dealing with issues of high level complexity.
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing long-term and best-in-class distribution relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace product lines.
  • Knowledge/understanding of community resources.
  • Reporting and analysis experience (Excel/Power BI).
  • Strong customer service/sales skills.
  • Multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, and influence internal and external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Management/leadership experience.

• Bilingual.
