Job description
You will support core accounting operations and help ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You will prepare journal entries and reconciliations, support close activities and audits, analyze account variances, maintain accounting data, and improve accounting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and prepare supporting schedules
- Review balance-sheet and income-statement accounts and investigate variances and reconciliation differences
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support intercompany and intracompany accounting, settlements, and resolution of differences across entities
- Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams on accounting, close timing, intercompany activity, and financial information
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
- Support internal controls and audit readiness
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and maintaining documentation
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other teams to improve financial processes
- Streamline accounting workflows, systems, and reporting accuracy
- Maintain accounting master data and financial reporting mappings
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage priorities and deadlines, incorporate feedback, and communicate issues promptly
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including general accounting and financial reporting in a complex multi-entity organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial controls, general ledger accounting, intercompany activity, and account reconciliations
- Experience supporting close processes in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting and multiple legal entities or subsidiaries
- Experience supporting external audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
- CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification preferred
- Big Four or other large public accounting firm experience is a plus
- NetSuite and Concur experience preferred
