We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy, compliance, and performance across the organization.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supervising accounting staff, and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and provide leadership to accounting team members.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor account reconciliations and general ledger activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, long-term care, or multi-location accounting experience preferred.
  • Cost reporting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting external audits and regulatory reporting.
