Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE

REQUIREMENTS

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Key Responsibilities

• Assist product engineer with design to cost• Define and document equipment calibration requirements• Develop floor layouts• Document procedures, process qualifications, work instructions, shop aids, routings, etc. • Develop manufacturing engineering plans and strategies for specific products and processes• Install manufacturing process systems and conduct production qualification• Provide process analysis to support new business (NPI) opportunity assessment and quoting• Develop, design, procure, and construct manufacturing process hardware, fixturing tools, software, and work environment• Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines• Lead quality initiatives using six sigma methodology to determine extent of non-conformance root cause, and corrective action• Monitor and control process parameters, and identify special processes and need for SPC

• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation• Fully proficient understanding of manufacturing processes and methods• Fully proficient in lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma methodology• Fully proficient problem-solving and analytical skills• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams• Fully proficient communication and interpersonal skills• Fully proficient written and verbal communications skills• Fully proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office applications• Fully proficient knowledge with manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components, systems and applications
