About the company

Our client is a fast-growing healthcare technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of the data modeling layer and the pipelines behind reporting and future machine learning work. Collaborate across product, operations and engineering to reshape intricate production data into dependable, scalable assets.

What you'll do

- Lead and mature the data modeling practice, building core models and pipelines that feed external-facing reporting and analytics.

- Clean up and scale existing data infrastructure so it can handle larger and more complex integrations.

- Meet regularly with product and business operations colleagues to learn what information they need and provide precise, dependable datasets.

- Work through production data alongside engineers and keep dashboarding tools correct and available.

- Prepare the ground for future ML and AI initiatives by strengthening data standards, oversight and the stability of pipelines.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- 4+ years of experience owning data modeling and pipelines.

- Advanced SQL skills in complex production data environments.

- Experience building data models and pipelines at a venture-backed startup or a technology company founded after 2005.

- Hands-on experience with a common data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering or a hard science.

- Ability to clearly describe personal business impact with quantified outcomes.

- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment.

- Ability to work in the office 4 days per week.

Bonus points

- Production experience with dbt for data modeling.

- A track record of working alongside cross-functional business partners.

- Familiarity with Python or Terraform.

- Background in a heavily regulated sector such as fintech, logistics or insurance, handling large and complex data sets.
