Ancillary Services Support Specialist
Job description
Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Ancillary Services Support Specialist based in our Willow Grove, PA office! This position will require travel to offices within the region for coverage purposes.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3 PM
Summary
The Ancillary Services Support Specialist is a hybrid role that supports the growth and operational performance of Ancillary Services. This position is responsible for increasing internal and external referral capture, building relationships with providers and referral sources, conducting regular site visits, identifying barriers to patient access and utilization, and supporting front-desk operations across Ancillary Services as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Internal PT referral capture %
- Internal MRI referral capture %
- External referral volume
- Site visits completed per month- Referring-provider outreach/visits completed
- Identified leakage opportunities resolved
Essential Duties:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase internal Ancillary referral capture i.e. grid utilization, monitor days out.
- Identify leakage opportunities and work with physicians, APPs, managers, and staff to improve utilization.
- Build relationships with external referral sources to generate incremental Ancillary volume. Strengthen existing relationships and identify barriers to referrals.
- Educate referring offices on available services, locations, access, scheduling processes, and capabilities.
- Meet with site leadership and front-line teams to understand operational challenges and opportunities.
- Partner with leadership on targeted growth initiatives, outreach campaigns, and new market opportunities.
- Help standardize Ancillary workflows and reinforce best practices across locations.
- Provide leadership with actionable feedback and follow-up from site visits.
- Hybrid cross-coverage for Ancillary front desks as needed and dictated by management.
- Serve as an operational resource during staffing shortages, new-site openings, workflow changes, or periods of increased volume.
- Ancillary FD support: i.e. scheduling, inbound/outbound call intake, check in.
- Reporting as it relates to supporting Ancillary Services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years Healthcare, Front Desk or Patient Access/Call Center experience.
- Multisystem, Microsoft
