Job description

We are a prominent and growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Phoenix and we are seeking a dependable, professional, and technology-oriented Receptionist / IT Support Assistant to manage front-desk responsibilities while providing basic, entry-level technical support to employees.

This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for someone who is organized, personable, comfortable working with computers and office technology, and interested in developing hands-on IT experience.

The position does not require advanced IT administration experience. The IT component focuses primarily on workstation deployment, equipment setup, basic physical troubleshooting, inventory coordination, and identifying when an issue should be escalated to higher-level IT personnel or our Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Reception & Office Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and guests.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls professionally.
  • Greet visitors and coordinate their arrival with appropriate staff members.
  • Receive and distribute mail, packages, equipment, and deliveries.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and presentable reception area.
  • Assist with conference room preparation and basic office coordination.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling company and employee information.
Entry-Level IT Support
  • Prepare and set up workstations for new employees and replacement equipment.
  • Unbox, organize, label, and deploy computers, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, phones, and other peripherals.
  • Connect and verify basic workstation components, including:
    • Monitors and display cables
    • Docking stations
    • Keyboards and mice
    • Headsets and webcams
    • Power adapters and cables
    • Ethernet/network connections
    • Printers and other common office peripherals
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of physical workstation and peripheral issues.
  • Assist employees with simple technical issues such as disconnected equipment, display problems, peripheral connectivity, cable issues, and basic device restarts.
  • Follow established IT procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Identify issues that require elevated permissions, advanced troubleshooting, network administration, software administration, cybersecurity expertise, or other higher-level support.
  • Escalate technical issues to internal IT personnel or the company's Managed Service Provider (MSP) when appropriate.
  • Communicate relevant troubleshooting steps and issue details clearly when escalating tickets.
  • Coordinate with IT/MSP personnel when remote troubleshooting requires someone physically present at a workstation.
  • Assist with equipment collection and workstation breakdown during employee offboarding.
  • Maintain organized storage of computers, peripherals, cables, and IT equipment.
  • Assist with basic IT asset inventory and equipment tracking.
  • Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Help maintain clean and organized cabling and workstation setups throughout the office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, help desk, or office experience required, experience in a law firm setting preferred.
  • Comfortable working with and have a basic understanding of computer hardware and common office technology.
  • Ability to identify common computer connections such as USB, USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and power connections.
  • Comfortable setting up monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, and related equipment.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic issues logically and recognize when escalation is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining an organized front desk.
  • Ability to safely lift and move computers, monitors, boxes, and other office equipment as needed.
