Job Summary

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for the entire operation of a branch; from ensuring the attainment of sales goals to overseeing everyone provides excellent customer service. This also ensures that the branch office has all the tools and infrastructure needed to keep it in working order.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize fastener industry knowledge to source products and provide timely quotes to customers.
  • Enter orders into ERP system and work with purchasing to ensure product is available to customers on time.
  • Co Track and chart the OTD (On-Time Delivery) and the service requirements of the customer accounts serviced out of branch.
  • Meet all customer requirements and resolve any corrective action. Conduct yearly customer surveys and review with local staff.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all customers and work team.
  • Identify, quantify, and maintain the necessary manning levels budgeted under the branch or branches you manage.
  • Able to interview, hire, train and discipline personnel with continuous motivation and professional development for your employees.
  • Provide yearly performance appraisals with branch personnel by conducting face to face meetings to review each performance objectives.
  • Adhere to the Safety programs, housekeeping and security responsibilities set forth by senior management.
  • Secure of company owned inventory assets.
  • Maintain equipment and maintenance records where applies.

Must Haves:

  • 7 years' experience with at least 5 years leadership experience.
  • Experience managing branch operations, distribution, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing (Minimum 3 years).
  • Experience & ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive operational and commercial performance is required.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, etc. is required.
  • Experience with inventory control is required.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience managing and developing business-to-business (B2B) customer relationships, with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Travel to local customers; overnight travel occasionally (1-2 times per year)

  • Project management experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of fasteners, inventory management, or industrial products is advantageous.
  • Experience in complete knowledge of on-time delivery, lines shipped, shortages, quality issues, rejects, and COGS.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align branch objectives to business goals.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and resource management capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management.
