Business Relationship Manager
Job description
You will manage relationships between research directorates and IT Services. You will understand customer needs, translate program deliverables into IT requirements, coordinate technical teams, communicate service status and priorities, and resolve customer issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of technical customer engagements
- Translate program deliverables into baseline IT scope and architecture requirements
- Collaborate with experts to plan emerging IT services
- Represent research partners during design and scoping activities
- Lead resolution of customer problems and issues
- Facilitate project intake and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
- Report engagement status, issues, requests, and releases to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and at least 8 years of professional experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience leading technical initiatives, products, services, or interactions
- Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
- Proven ability to resolve disagreements
- Experience supporting a broad range of research-relevant IT services
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Energy clearance
- Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in random drug testing
