Job description

Bridge Tower is a vertically integrated real estate company focused on developing, building, investing in, selling, and operating residential communities. Our work spans Build-for-Rent and Build-for-Sale communities, with in-house expertise across land acquisition, entitlement, development, construction, new home sales, leasing, property management, asset management, accounting, and finance.

Bridge Tower delivers more than 400 new homes annually and manages a growing portfolio of communities supported by multiple investment structures, including institutional and joint venture capital, international investment partners, and private high-net-worth investors.

Overview

The Chief Financial Officer serves as a senior member of Bridge Tower’s executive leadership team and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Company’s Finance, Accounting, and Construction Accounting functions.

Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, the CFO will provide enterprise-level financial leadership across a complex, vertically integrated real estate platform. This role will connect financial strategy with operating execution, ensuring leadership has the reporting, analysis, controls, and financial insight necessary to make informed decisions across the business.

The CFO will work closely with the Managing Partner of Finance to provide continuity and executive ownership across recurring financial operations, reporting, planning, and cross-functional finance initiatives. The role will assume increasing responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the finance organization while supporting the Managing Partners’ continued focus on capital strategy, investor relationships, and long-term growth.

This is a highly visible, hands-on executive role requiring both strategic financial leadership and the ability to operate effectively within the details of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead enterprise finance operations across Bridge Tower’s vertically integrated business lines, including property management, leasing, new home sales, construction, land acquisition, development, and asset management.
  2. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across departments, legal entities, projects, communities, and investment structures, establishing clear expectations for financial performance and accountability.
  3. Oversee and continue to advance executive financial reporting for ownership, Managing Partners, department leaders, lenders, joint venture partners, and investor stakeholders, ensuring financial information remains timely, accurate, actionable, and responsive to the organization’s evolving needs.
  4. Lead the Finance, Accounting, and Construction Accounting functions, developing strong teams, establishing clear accountability, and ensuring financial operations can scale alongside the growth of the organization.
  5. Partner with accounting leadership to ensure timely and accurate month-end close, entity-level reporting, reconciliations, financial controls, and compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
  6. Analyze project, community, and departmental performance to identify trends, financial risks, margin pressures, capital needs, and opportunities to strengthen profitability and investment returns.
  7. Support investment and development decisions through financial modeling, deal analysis, cost tracking, scenario planning, and return analysis across land acquisition, development, construction, operations, and disposition.
  8. Provide financial oversight of construction and development activity, including project budgets, costs, change orders, vendor spend, cash requirements, and development timelines in partnership with operational leadership.
  9. Serve as a strategic finance partner to department leaders, translating complex financial information into clear recommendations, priorities, and operating decisions.
  10. Strengthen and continue to evolve Bridge Tower’s financial infrastructure, including reporting tools, dashboards, controls, processes, and workflows, ensuring existing systems continue to scale with the organization’s growth.
  11. Own recurring executive financial reviews and cross-functional finance initiatives, ensuring decisions are translated into action and financial priorities remain coordinated across the organization.
  12. Partner with the Managing Partners on capital and investment strategy, providing the financial infrastructure, analysis, and operational leadership necessary to support existing investment partnerships, future capital deployment, and continued growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including significant senior leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Finance and Accounting within a complex, multi-entity organization, with strong command of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and internal controls.
  • Experience with real estate development, homebuilding, construction, private equity, investment management, or another project- and capital-intensive business strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with joint ventures, lenders, institutional investors, private investors, and complex investment structures strongly preferred.
  • Ability to step into a mature, high-performing finance organization, quickly understand established systems and processes, and thoughtfully advance them as the business grows.
  • Strong executive judgment and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate risk, translate complex financial information, and drive decisions across operational and executive teams.
  • High level of ownership, discretion, and accountability, with the ability to operate effectively between strategy and execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, in-office environment where leaders are expected to move between strategy and execution.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means preserving the strength and sophistication of Bridge Tower’s financial operations while continuing to advance them as the organization grows.
