Clinical Manager | Anesthesiology

Location: La Crosse, WI

Schedule: Full-time | Days (typically between 7:00 AM-4:30 PM with flexibility, Monday-Friday) | No weekends, holidays, or call

Position Overview

The Clinical Manager of Anesthesiology provides operational leadership and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality anesthesia services across the organization. This leader partners closely with the Department Chair, physician leaders, and operational stakeholders to advance departmental objectives, support workforce planning, and drive operational excellence.

The role supports anesthesiology services across the Main Operating Room, Outpatient Surgery Center, and a variety of procedural areas, including GI Lab, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Services, and Imaging.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct leadership for approximately 12 Anesthesia Technicians and a Senior Office Assistant (SOA)
  • Support workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and provider resource management
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development initiatives
  • Partner with physician and operational leaders to achieve departmental goals and drive strategic priorities
  • Support budgeting, capital planning, FTE management, and operational performance
  • Monitor quality metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate departmental communications, meetings, and key operational activities
  • Support Epic optimization, procedural scheduling, and the continued growth of anesthesia services

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • 5-7 years of clinical or equivalent healthcare experience demonstrating leadership skills
  • Any license or certification required for area of specialty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to clinical specialty
  • Previous management experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in perioperative services, anesthesiology, surgical services, or procedural care environments
  • Experience partnering with physicians and interdisciplinary leadership teams
