The Compliance Analyst supports the Credit Union's Compliance Management System (CMS) by assisting with regulatory compliance oversight, compliance monitoring, regulatory change management, and compliance training activities. This position serves as a key resource for researching and interpreting federal and state regulatory requirements impacting lending, deposit operations, and other business functions. In addition to regulatory compliance responsibilities, the Compliance Analyst provides support for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance activities, including OFAC reviews, CTR submissions and suspicious activity monitoring. The position also provides critical administrative and operational support for mortgage quality control activities, including vendor quality control management and Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) quality control requirements. The analyst ensures timely coordination, tracking, documentation, and retention of loan files and review results to support compliance with investor, agency, and internal and GSE quality control standards.

Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance (75%)
- Supports the administration and ongoing effectiveness of the Compliance Management System (CMS).
- Monitors legislative and regulatory developments affecting credit union operations and communicates changes to impacted business units.
- Researches, analyzes, and interprets federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance related to consumer lending, mortgage lending, deposits, and ancillary products and services.
- Assists with regulatory change management activities, including impact assessments, implementation tracking, and documentation.
- Performs compliance monitoring and testing activities to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assists in the development, maintenance, and periodic review of policies, procedures, disclosures, forms, and agreements from a compliance perspective.
- Responds to compliance-related inquiries from business units regarding regulatory requirements, policy interpretation, and operational practices.
- Assists with compliance risk assessments and corrective action plan tracking.
- Supports preparation for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external compliance reviews.
- Assists in developing and delivering compliance training and awareness programs.
- Maintains compliance records, issue logs, regulatory inventories, and supporting documentation.
- Provides administrative support for legal and regulatory matters, including maintaining files, coordinating requests, and tracking deliverables.
- Assists with activities related to compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and OFAC requirements.
- Reviews and researches potentially suspicious activity and assists with case investigations.
- Assists with the preparation, completion, and filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
- Supports OFAC screening review processes, alert research, and documentation requirements.
- Maintains records necessary to support BSA/AML compliance programs and regulatory examinations.
- Assists with monitoring, tracking, and reporting of BSA-related metrics and trends.
- Supports regulatory exam, audit, and independent review requests related to BSA and OFAC requirements.
- Assists with BSA compliance training coordination and documentation.
- Provides administrative and operational support for pre-funding and post-closing mortgage quality control reviews.
- Coordinates the selection, tracking, retrieval, and submission of mortgage loan files identified for quality control review.
- Maintains quality control review logs, reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Tracks outstanding review findings, management responses, corrective actions, and resolution status.
- Coordinates the delivery of loan files and supporting documentation to internal quality assurance personnel and third-party review vendors.
- Assists in reviewing quality control reports and ensuring findings are accurately documented and routed to appropriate stakeholders.
- Supports compliance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other applicable investor and GSE quality control requirements.
- Maintains quality control records in accordance with investor, regulatory, and record retention requirements.
- Assists in monitoring vendor quality control performance, report delivery, and contractual service level expectations.
- Develops management reports and metrics related to mortgage quality control activities. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintains accurate and organized regulatory, compliance, BSA, and quality control records.
- Prepares reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentations for management committees and leadership.
- Tracks regulatory findings, corrective actions, policy updates, and quality control exceptions.
- Assists with special projects and enterprise risk initiatives as assigned.
Bachelor's degree
Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience Required to Perform Job Upon Hire:
2 to 4 years in regulatory compliance, audit, risk management, BSA/AML compliance, mortgage operations, quality control, or a related financial services function.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations, including Truth in Lending Act (TILA), RESPA, ECOA, FCRA, HMDA, Fair Lending, UDAAP, E-SIGN, and deposit-related regulations.
- Understanding of Compliance Management System (CMS) principles and practices.
- Basic knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, SAR, and CTR requirements.
- Familiarity with mortgage quality control processes and GSE requirements preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret laws, regulations, guidance, and contractual requirements and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE)
- Other compliance, risk, audit, or mortgage quality control-related certifications
This position requires the ability to:

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $56,800 to $85,200 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
This role may also be eligible for additional compensation such as a bonus or long-term incentive units.
