Job description

Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Systems Analyst to support the organization’s information technology systems, applications, infrastructure, and clinical technology needs. This position works closely with the Vice President of Information Technology, staff, providers, leadership, and external technology partners to ensure CHP’s systems remain secure, reliable, and effective.

Community Health Partnership of Illinois is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing primary and preventive healthcare services to uninsured and underserved communities throughout northern and central Illinois. CHP provides access to medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services with a focus on delivering quality, culturally responsive care to the patients and communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain CHP’s information systems, software applications, networks, and IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to staff, providers, leadership, and CHP health center locations.
  • Maintain and support the organization’s electronic health record (EHR) system and related interfaces.
  • Monitor network and system activity and assist with cybersecurity, system security, and data protection efforts.
  • Manage user access to IT systems and electronic protected health information (ePHI) in accordance with CHP policies.
  • Evaluate hardware and software needs and assist with the implementation of new technology solutions.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software, databases, and software licenses.
  • Work with vendors and technology partners to support system integrations and resolve technical issues.
  • Review and assist with resolving outstanding IT support tickets.
  • Support EHR optimization, including forms, templates, workflows, reporting, and system improvements.
  • Assist with data reporting, validation, accuracy, and database integrity.
  • Develop reports, documentation, and other materials to support IT projects and organizational needs.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, security audits, and risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with departments and external partners to identify technology needs and improve organizational processes.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to staff as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CHP policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with clinical EMRs/EHRs or healthcare information technology.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software applications, networking, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining EHR/EMR systems; GE Centricity or similar healthcare systems experience preferred.
  • Experience with system troubleshooting, data analysis, reporting, and database management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Healthcare, nonprofit, or community health center experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
  • Ability to travel to CHP locations as needed.
