County Materials Family of Companies is hiring a Corporate Inventory Control Manager in Astatula, Florida.
Summary
The Corporate Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory-related activities to ensure optimal inventory levels, accuracy, and financial performance. This role manages cycle counting programs, inventory forecasting, inventory transactions, obsolete and slow-moving inventory reduction, and inventory write-off processes. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technology-savvy, process-driven, and capable of partnering with operations, purchasing, finance, and sales teams to improve inventory management and working capital performance.
Job Duties &
Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control procedures.
Manage and execute cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy of 98%+.
Investigate inventory variances and identify root causes.
Ensure inventory records are accurate across ERP/WMS systems.
Conduct periodic audits and physical inventory counts.
Obsolete & Excess Inventory Management
Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
Develop and execute plans to reduce, liquidate, repurpose, or dispose of obsolete inventory.
Partner with sales and operations teams to minimize inventory aging.
Prepare recommendations for inventory reserves and write-offs.
Systems & Process Improvement
Lead process improvement initiatives to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor inventory performance.
Serve as the subject matter expert for inventory processes within ERP and inventory management systems.
Inventory Valuation & Write-Offs
Manage inventory reserve analysis and documentation.
Coordinate and administer inventory write-offs in accordance with company policies and financial controls.
Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate valuation and reporting.
Maintain detailed records supporting inventory adjustments and write-offs.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.
Present inventory performance and action plans to operations and senior management.

Experience &
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
5-7+ years of inventory management, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
Proven experience implementing and managing cycle counting programs.
Experience in performing inventory forecasting and demand planning.
Strong background managing obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
Experience administering inventory adjustments and write-offs.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Epicor, or similar).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.
Experience with inventory management systems and business intelligence tools.
Strong analytical and data management abilities
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Financial acumen with understanding of inventory valuation.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to drive accountability and process discipline.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a mixed Office/Indoor/Outdoor environment.
Travel required: 25%
