Position Summary

Oversee and provide support to our external and internal customers in a fast-paced, team- oriented environment with an opportunity for growth through strong product, system, and process knowledge. Develop, implement, and oversee the various business processes and functions of the inquiry to cash cycle, including sales quotes, sales orders, product availability, freight quotes, export licenses, contract administration/compliance. Drive continuous improvement to meet the needs of the business and provide our customers with superior service while working very closely with other functions of the Company including sales, production, planning, legal, shipping, engineering, quality, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the sales order process, product information and systems used daily by the customer fulfillment team.
  • Oversee the Team to provide primary support to the customer, for all inquiries, including the processing of all sales orders. Provide accurate product information and availability, lead times, export licensing, shipping terms, billing, etc. based on the customer’s requirements while maintaining accuracy and compliance and delivering superior service, while acting as the Team’s primary liaison with sales, production, compliance, shipping, and accounting functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce and eliminate waste while streamlining and improving key processes of the department with the primary goal of superior customer satisfaction. Including effective utilization of systems and tools such as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Manage customer account validation and set up as well as contract administration/compliance through coordination with Sales, Legal, and Accounting to ensure requirements are met.
  • Manage and maintain good working relationships with house accounts. Maintain accurate customer information.
  • Manage and ensure adherence and compliance to Customer Fulfillment and Sales policies, procedures, guidelines and operating standards.
  • Manage and direct team members to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day business within the department and throughout the company. Ensure appropriate redundancy and back-up support to across team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or other discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, including a customer service function or sales support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional, business-oriented approach while managing and maintaining customer focus.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining organization and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills while ensuring compliance is maintained for contract administration/compliance.
  • High level of initiative and strong work ethic. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across functions
