Overview
Under the direction of the Asset Performance Director, the Asset Analytics Engineer, will provide expert condition assessment and asset health evaluation by analyzing maintenance and monitoring data from customer HV assets: transformers, circuit breakers, and rotating machines.
They will support the design and validation of analytics and algorithms developed for Camlin’s Sapient Software platforms and apply similar algorithms to be used for front end support for the Camlin Sapient Centre.
KeyResponsibilities
- Support the development of models and algorithms for the automated assessment of failure modes and prescriptive maintenance to assure asset health.
- Interface with internal teams involved with Camlin software development, acting as liaison between Asset Performance to Data Science and development teams.
- Test and validate models against old and new data collected from Condition Assessment reporting within the Asset Performance Team.
- Review and analyze customer data and prepare reports for periodic review of customer online monitoring information.
- Prepare Condition Assessment Reports for customer assets utilizing customer online monitoring and maintenance test data.
- Manage and maintain consolidated customer datasets and leverage these datasets for analysis and customer reporting of fleet trends, risk reporting, and anomaly detections.
- Prepare templates, Spreadsheets and scripts to automate the analysis of customer data for periodic data review and condition assessment reporting.
- Research industry advancements in AI/ML applications and explore how Camlin’s data may be leveraged to develop similar models to enhance features in Sapient Asset Insights.
- Author technical papers and articles on AI/ML applications and data/analytics for Power Systems Assets.
- Focus on development as an industry expert in asset data and analytics; AI/ML applications to Power System Assets.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a University or College of recognized standing.
- Relevant work experience in technical roles within the Energy industry will also be considered.
- Must be proficient in reading and interpretation of industry standards and guides.
- Must be proficient in English; both verbal and written.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
