RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Information
The data governance analyst supports daily governance operations across catalog, lineage, and data classification/tagging processes. This role partners with data governance program lead and solution architects to drive consistent process adoption across domains. This role supports data stewards’ successful adoption of tool-based governance processes and monitors execution. The analyst operationalizes governance standards and control-based processes, generates risk and audit evidence of governance workflows execution. The analyst develops process related SOPs, user guides and trainings.
Data Governance program execution support, Data classification tagging, catalog and lineage management, stewardship engagement and tool-based processes adoption support. Governance tool-based processes design and execution, support Audit, risk and compliance inquiries.
Key Job Functions
• Collaborate and contribute to the creation and execution of a strategic data governance roadmap that defines target state capabilities to support business objectives of securitization operations, adhering to data management policies and procedure.• Manage timely execution of data cataloging, lineage and sensitivity tagging processes in Collibra, MS Purview and other governance platforms. • Define and assist with the technical design, configuration, and deployment of governance platforms (Collibra, MS Purview, other tools) to support enterprise data governance objectives.• Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and user training.• Onboard and support data stewards, ensuring compliance with governance workflows.• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and audit teams to validate control effectiveness and prepare required evidence. • Monitor, measure, and maintain health of data catalog, lineage products/assets, process workflows, and marketplace content for usability.• Explore and Identify opportunities to collaborate with governance team members to improve/automate governance workflows and improve user experience through new capabilities.• Collaborate closely with the team to enhance system components for scalability, performance, and self-service enablement. (E.g., design automated governance oversight, metamodels that reduces redundancy, indexing and archiving strategies to enable faster searches, automate onboarding of new domains/stewards, semantic layer creation etc.) • Partner with team to evaluate and pilot AI driven governance solutions, such as, automate lineage discovery, automate data sensitivity /privacy discovery, automate business glossary generation, make metadata intelligence accessible, to strengthen governance controls as well as enhance productivity and accuracy.• Embrace agile work practices for iterative backlog/sprint planning, prioritization, sprint delivery reviews, and retrospectives to deliver governance capabilities efficiently and transparently.• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture and demonstrate organization’s values, ethics, and compliance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Bachelor's degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
• Minimum 3 years experience in data governance, metadata management and platform DevOps administration.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
• Hands-on experience with governance workflow execution within Collibra DIP or other equivalent platform/applications.• Experience building reports or dashboards for governance and KPI monitoring – preferred.• Working knowledge of governance frameworks (DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, NIST) and data quality principles.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to partner across business, risk and technology teams.• Strong analytical, planning and communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with internal and external business and IT teams. • Continuous learning and innovative mindset, especially towards AI-enabled data management and governance solutions.
• Ability and willingness to learn modern technologies.• Risk Management, Information Security, Privacy and Compliance related experience is a plus.• Direct experience with industry frameworks, including DMBOK, EDM DCAM or EDM CDMC is preferred.• Direct experience with data analytics and BI tools.• Knowledge of Cloud data technologies in AWS, Snowflake.• Possession of excellent communication, analytics and problem-solving skills.
Pay Range $94,250 to $107,500
U.S. FinTech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. U.S. FinTech offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
