PositionSummary
The primary function of the Data Support Specialist is to support the Account Services team with data-driven audit, processing, and platform maintenance work, with a primary focus on document uploads and other website updates in the BSC platform. This role assists with pulling and processing audits throughout the year, direct carrier entry (DCE) processing, and invoice audits for specific carriers. A self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently across multiple data systems and spreadsheets to keep client and carrier data accurate and current. Relies on strong attention to detail and sound judgement to plan work and accomplish department goals. Some supervision necessary.

Essential Tasks:
- Assist with uploading documents and other website updates in the BSC platform (primary job responsibility)
- Assist with pulling and processing audits throughout the year
- Assist with direct carrier entry (DCE) processing
- Assist with invoice audits for specific carriers
- Support other data-related projects and audits as needed
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of data across client and carrier systems, flagging discrepancies for resolution
- Perform basic HTML coding/edits as needed to support website and platform updates.
- Build and maintain Excel-based tracking and reporting tools to support audit and data processing work
- Maintain quick, clear, and professional communication with team members regarding audit status, data issues, and project timelines
- Perform other duties as needed or required

Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in data entry, data processing, audit support, or a similar back-office/administrative role
- Must be able to perform basic coding, such as basic HTML
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional conduct and appearance which enhances company image
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. Individual should prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Must have proven work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

Licensing and Credentials:
- None
Systems:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite-must be excellent in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleanup/comparison)
- Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Agency Management System (AMS) is acceptable
- Working knowledge of website/content management platforms, or the ability to learn them quickly (BSC platform experience a plus)
PhysicalRequirements
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
- Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
- Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
- Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions
