Job description

Role Overview

The Data & Systems Support Analyst provides technical assistance, support and training to users of systems related to the Department of Children and Families/Managing Entities (ME) Line of Business. The position also supports the development team by providing QA for software updates. The position is expected to have experience in providing user support and working within a ticketing system. Understanding the Department of Children and Families data sets is a plus.

Role Responsibilities

  • Test code and applications developed by other development team members to ensure proper functionality as per business requirements
  • Assist senior management in making design and architectural decisions for business systems
  • Participate in relevant meetings as requested
  • Track issues reported by users and ensure resolution
  • Work on special projects assigned by senior IT Management
  • Assist in the monthly submission of data to DCF
  • Provides support in data reconciliation tasks
  • Responsible for testing new features and/or updates in Carisk’s systems
  • Generates and distributes monthly reports to clients and providers
  • User management and account creation
  • Provide user training and TA

Role Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / BS degree
  • Undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Application Development or Business Technology
  • Knowledge of DCF PAM 155-2 data requirements
  • Understanding of the software development cycle
  • Desire to work hard and learn while being mentored by a senior architect and business leadership
  • Ability to think quickly and change courses based on business needs
  • Experience with Windows, MS Office, IT Ticketing Systems
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Problem solver and attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
