Dental Laboratory Manager and Technician
Job description
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Dental Laboratory Manager/Technician to oversee the day-to-day operations of a modern, digitally driven dental laboratory in the Atlanta area. Learn more about us HERE! The lab is affiliated with Atlanta Dental Spa and functions as an in-house lab for our five locations. We also take select outside clients and are always growing and adding more, but this is primarily a position where you will be in close contact and communication with our team, as opposed to a larger lab dealing with numerous clients you aren't very familiar with.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who combines strong dental laboratory knowledge with technical aptitude, organization, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication. Because we are a small, growing laboratory, the ideal candidate will be comfortable both managing operations and stepping in wherever needed to keep cases moving efficiently.

- Coordinate with external design teams, vendors, and other laboratory partners.
- Maintain high quality standards, including fit, margins, contacts, occlusion, shade, function, and overall restoration quality.
- Troubleshoot scanning, milling, printing, software, equipment, and production issues.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical workflow improvements.
- Manage supplies, inventory, purchasing, and procurement, and identify opportunities to control costs.
- Assist with shipping, deliveries, supply runs, and other operational needs when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience

- Strong understanding of dental laboratory workflow and case processing.
- Experience with a broad range of restorations and appliances, including some combination of:

- Working knowledge of dental materials including zirconia, lithium disilicate/e.max, PMMA, acrylics, composites, and related materials.
- Experience with digital dental workflows including intraoral scans, CAD/CAM, 4- and 5-axis milling, 3D printing, and digital case submission.
- Familiarity with platforms and software such as 3Shape, exocad, iTero, MillBox, HyperDENT, and/or similar systems.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production problems.
- Strong computer literacy, including Windows, Google Workspace, laboratory management software, and digital case-management systems.
- Experience supervising, training, or mentoring laboratory personnel is preferred.
What We’re Looking For
