The Development Operations Coordinator provides operational, data, and administrative support to advance Emerson College’s annual fundraising goals, with a specific focus on DMAV initiatives. The Coordinator ensures accurate donor records, timely gift processing, and reliable information for the Institutional Advancement division. In addition, the Coordinator will also be tasked with assisting with the creation of fundraising materials for campaigns and appeals, and managing customer service-related tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

● Assist with the execution of multi-channel solicitation plans for Annual Giving, including direct mail, email, and crowdfunding: draft copy review, print production logistics and email deployment.

● Assist with creating campaign collateral.

● Assist with formatting and preparation of donor segment lists for campaign and/or analysis purposes.

● Maintain an updated library of donation forms across the website and on campaign materials.

● Conduct light donor outreach and phone/email renewals for donors under the $500 level during key campaign cycles.

● In collaboration with Donor Relations, ensure timely gift acknowledgements and donor stewardship efforts including fulfillment of levels and benefits

● Coordinate customer relationship management processes, including: creating pledge agreement letters, (e)mailing invoices and pledge reminders as necessary, generating gift acknowledgement letters, and documenting all activity in the donor database

● Field giving inquiries from subscribers and donors by providing professional and responsive customer service; resolve online giving and gift processing issues.

● Maintain accurate donor records in Spektrix and Raiser’s Edge. Collaborate with Advancement Services to ensure information in both databases is current and consistent.

● Conduct monthly reconciliation between Spektrix and Raiser’s Edge to ensure accuracy of donor records, gift entries, and coding across both systems.

● Maintain data integrity and accurate constituent records with sufficient data to ensure pulling data exports for events, mailings, and other needs.

● Track gifts weekly and report progress towards Annual Giving Department fundraising goals

● Provide general administrative support to the Annual Giving team and assist with special advancement projects as assigned.

● Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS – Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

● Minimum 1 Years’ experience fast-paced fundraising, sales or marketing preferred; experience with donor database preferred, such as Raiser’s Edge, Audience View or Salesforce preferred. Student work experience will be considered.

● Knowledge of development principles including knowledge of the utilization of information systems to support fundraising activities

● Organizational and project management skills, interpersonal skills, writing and editing skills, and computer proficiency

● Experience in managing donor/prospect databases effectively, analytical skills, and ability to multitask

Compensation for this position ranges from $22.85 to $27.70/hr, commensurate with experience.

This position requires an in-person presence on the Boston Campus during the work week.
