Director of Sales
Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 + commission
Location: Remote in San Jose, CA; Expected to periodically attend in-office meetings for collaboration, relationship building, training, and engagement with leadership.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend meetings or events may be required to support client engagement, networking, and HOA Board presentations.

Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving organic growth within the assigned region by developing strategic relationships and securing new HOA management contracts. As the face of RowCal in the local market, this role builds partnerships with HOA Boards, community leaders, referral partners, and industry professionals to generate new business opportunities and expand RowCal's presence. The Director of Sales manages the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to contract negotiation and closing, while maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities.
This is an opportunity to build and grow a territory within one of the fastest-growing HOA management companies in the country. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on networking, consultative selling, and independently driving results. Success in this role requires strong business development skills, local market engagement, frequent travel, and occasional evening attendance at HOA Board meetings and networking events.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan to identify, prospect, and close new HOA management partnerships.
- Build relationships with HOA Board Members, community leaders, property stakeholders, and industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal presentation, contract negotiation, and signed agreement.
- Conduct consultative sales presentations that demonstrate RowCal's value proposition and differentiate our services in the marketplace.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and key performance metrics.
- Generate new business through a combination of outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and relationship development.
- Represent RowCal at industry trade associations, networking events, educational programs, and community meetings to enhance brand awareness and drive growth.
- Attend business meetings, HOA Board meetings, and client presentations, including occasional evening events, as needed to support sales efforts.
- Establish and maintain a strong local presence within the HOA, real estate, and property management industries.
- Collaborate with operational and leadership teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to client onboarding and long-term client success.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline activity and forecasting within the company's CRM platform.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business development, consultative sales, account management, or a related sales role.
- Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities while meeting performance goals.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence multiple decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and other business development tools.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional evening meetings, networking events, and client presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling professional services, property management services, HOA management services, real estate services, or similar relationship-driven solutions.
- Experience developing and growing a territory through prospecting, networking, and referral-based business development.
- Familiarity with HOA governance, community associations, property management, or the real estate industry.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals and representing an organization through industry associations, trade organizations, or networking events.
Physical Requirements
- Remain stationary and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Travel locally and operate a motor vehicle to attend client meetings, networking events, HOA Board meetings, and other business-related activities.
- Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
- Occasionally transport and set up sales, marketing, or presentation materials as needed.
