What You Will Do
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of professional truck drivers.
- Monitor shipping activities across multiple locations and suppliers to ensure all deliveries meet service expectations.
- Develop and communicate daily and weekly driver schedules that optimize service levels and equipment utilization.
- Serve as a key point of contact for locations, customers, and suppliers—building and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Act with urgency to resolve issues, respond to customer needs, and ensure seamless transportation flow.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in spreadsheets or logistics systems.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, FMCSA, state, and local regulations.
- Support fellow Driver Supervisors and provide off-hour monitoring as needed through company-supplied technology.
- Balance multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree in business or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet operations.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office; experience with ERP systems a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- A proactive, flexible mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
