Key Responsibilities

Safe Transport: Operate cars, vans, or trucks to deliver goods or people on schedule.

Route Planning: Use GPS navigation apps and maps to find the fastest and safest routes while avoiding traffic.

Loading and Unloading: Lift, load, and organize packages, luggage, or cargo.

Vehicle Maintenance: Check fuel levels, perform basic pre-trip inspections, and report or schedule needed repairs.

Record Keeping: Delivery receipts, and electronic delivery confirmations.

Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, recipients, or passengers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

License: A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (such as a standard non-CDL license or a Commercial Driver's License [CDL] for heavy trucks).

Driving Record: A clean driving history with no major traffic violations.

Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for long hours and lift heavy items (typically 30 to 50+ pounds).

Time Management: Strong punctuality and organizational skills to meet tight delivery windows.

Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to coordinate with dispatchers and customers.
