Our client is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm delivering end‑to‑end solutions across utility, renewable energy, battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other critical infrastructure markets. Based in Houston, Texas, the company leverages deep subject‑matter expertise and an engineering‑led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium‑ and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure for clients locally, nationally, and internationally.
Position Overview
Technical professional with an average minimum of five years’ experience in electrical system design. Services include minimally supervised coordination of drafting team with electrical design supervision. Position requires technical and administrative supervision.
Responsibilities
- Applies principles and techniques of acquired experience to accomplish tasks
- Provides guidance to draftsmen
- Produces and guides production of mechanical drawings for construction purposes such as equipment arrangement plans, section views, cable tray plans, switchgear building layouts, and installation details, grounding details, conduit details, foundation details, and steel details
- Produces electrical schematic, wiring, and interconnection diagrams
- Calculates, quantifies, specifies, and controls quality of material
- Provides adaptations to common designs
- Understands common industry practices
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Reports to team supervisor

Education and Experience
- Two-year associate degree or equivalent level of experience
- 5–10 years’ experience
- Electrical substation experience required
