Job description

The Coordinator.Facility.V will oversee a broad spectrum of building repair and maintenance activities within the IV 0411-025-00282 OPS - Service - 3100 department. Working under general supervision, you will ensure that all facilities are kept in optimal condition, respond to unplanned service requests, manage work orders, and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction through timely and courteous service.

  • Perform a wide range of building repairs (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) and respond to unplanned service requests.
  • Complete physical plant projects such as wall patching, roof repairs, office modifications, and landscape maintenance.
  • Retrieve, enter, and manage work orders promptly using the computerized system.
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and assist with material handling.
  • Order, stock, and manage inventory of supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Obtain estimates, quotes, and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, compliant work.
  • Prepare inspection reports, labor and material estimates, and communicate facility conditions to management.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee less‑experienced maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Identify proactive solutions to recurring facility issues and implement improvements.
  • Uphold company safety policies and maintain high customer‑service standards for IntelliServ employees.
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance covering electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and use a sophisticated work‑order management system.
  • Certified forklift operator with safe lift‑operation skills.
  • Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment (heat guns, soldering stations, test equipment, etc.).
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Advanced mathematical ability for estimating labor, material, and cost.
  • Experience supervising vendors/contractors and training junior staff.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and basic computer applications.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain estimates/quotes and manage inventory of supplies and parts.
