Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing general accounting and financial reporting duties, process clarification, and improvement. The role is integral in supporting financial planning, analysis, and studies for the organization alongside general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to provide insightful recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and prepare detailed reports for leadership
• Support budgeting and planning processes, collaborating with department leaders to gather and validate assumptions
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights into trends, risks, and opportunities
• Evaluate financial performance, cost structures, and ROI for projects, initiatives, and capital investments
• Assist in developing dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into financial metrics
• Prepare presentations for senior leadership, summarizing analysis outcomes and recommendations
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business cases, pricing decisions, and operational improvements
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and company standards
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial accuracy

Required Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
• Must be US Citizen and able to pass an extensive background check
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent problem solving, presentation, and analytical skills
• Must be highly collaborative with strong teamwork attitude

Optional/Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting team with commercial and government contracts
• Familiarity with IT services contracts and/or products
• Superior communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to escort visitors, deliver packages to addressee, etc. Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
