Job description

The Host/Hostess supports front-of-house operations in a casino dining environment. Responsibilities include answering calls, taking reservations as needed, assisting guests, and coordinating with team members to support smooth service. The role may also include coordinating food and beverage delivery and processing guest payments, as assigned.

  • Welcome and assist guests, providing courteous, attentive service.
  • Answer incoming calls and take reservations as needed.
  • Coordinate food and beverage delivery to guests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Follow alcohol-safety standards, including checking identification when required.
  • Process guest payments accurately for goods and services delivered, as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned stations and shared areas.
  • Promote the Big Six by helping create a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment.
  • Follow established procedures, food and beverage safety practices, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED and two years of serving experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, listening, teamwork, adaptability, and customer-service skills; attention to detail, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to obtain a food handler’s card, pass alcohol-awareness training, obtain and maintain licensing from the appropriate gaming authority, and obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed; stand for extended periods and frequently bend and kneel; and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may take place in climate-controlled areas or on casino floors, with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
