HR Generalist
General Function
The HR Generalist supports employees and managers across learning and development, onboarding, and general HR operations. This position helps coordinate employee programs, administer training, maintain accurate employee records, and respond to HR questions. Working closely with HR team members and business leaders, the generalist helps employees access the information, resources, and support they need throughout their employment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Learning & Development
- Coordinate training sessions, including scheduling, invitations, materials, attendance tracking, and follow-up communications.
- Support learning platform administration, including employee access, course assignments, completion tracking, and reporting.
- Assist with creating and updating training materials, job aids, presentations, and employee resources.
- Facilitate orientation and other training sessions as needed.
- Respond to employee and manager questions about training requirements, learning resources, and platform access.
- Collect participant feedback and help identify opportunities to improve training and employee development programs.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate onboarding activities with Recruiting, IT, managers, and other HR team members.
- Monitor required onboarding tasks and documentation, follow up on outstanding items, and help resolve issues.
- Help new employees access essential systems, resources, and required training.
- Maintain onboarding communications, guides, and checklists.
- Support employee surveys, engagement activities, and other employee experience initiatives.
General HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager questions about HR policies, procedures, and resources.
- Process and verify employee transactions, maintain HR records, and help resolve data discrepancies.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including job changes, transfers, and offboarding.
- Provide routine benefits information and administrative support, coordinating with the Benefits team on questions requiring specialized guidance.
- Support the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist the HR Business Partner with employee concerns, fact gathering, investigations, and documentation; escalate sensitive or complex matters as appropriate.
- Help managers apply HR policies consistently and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Assist with job descriptions, compensation information, unemployment responses, and other HR administrative needs.
- Prepare reports, track outstanding work, and identify opportunities to improve HR processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information with care.
- Participate in HR projects and provide coverage across HR functions as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Two to three years of HR experience, preferably including onboarding, training coordination, or employee support.
- Experience using HR information systems; experience with Oracle Fusion is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook
